I got a message from uptime-kuma that I am hosting on my personal server (proxmox container), so I decided to document what happened, and what I did here. By experience, it is always a good practice to write down what you’re doing when you’re trying to fix your problems, especially if it’s networking/hosting related stuff.
- 2023-10-31 04:59:21 (KST) - notification from uptime-kuma that my thinkingdarusik.com domain is down
- A few minutes later - checked cloudflare status page: Cloudflare pages is having problems. Decided to sleep and wait a few hours. Also notified YT community and dev discord that this is happening. Going to sleep.
- Not uploading this article since cloudflare system is broken(obviously)
- recieved message from uptime-kuma that everything went back to normal and confirmed that it was true.
It seems Cloudflare had some issues with their services. Thank glad I set up my server. Some of the things I self host really helps me out in times like this. Now I can go to sleep in peace :)
